Polymarket is hiring a Senior Accounting Manager to own close, technical accounting, reporting, controls, audits, and accounting systems as the company scales.

About the Role

The role reports to the Controller and builds accounting infrastructure for a high-volume company operating across crypto and traditional finance.

It partners with Legal, Product, and Business Development on new products, international expansion, monetization changes, and mergers and acquisitions.

Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities

Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close, including general-ledger operations, entries, reconciliations, and balance-sheet reviews.
Research and document technical accounting positions under ASC 606, ASC 805, ASC 350-40, and other relevant guidance.
Lead financial reporting, external-audit support, and internal-control development.
Manage intercompany accounting and consolidated financials across domestic and international entities.
Select and implement accounting systems and automation that improve speed, accuracy, and scale.
Advise cross-functional teams on accounting implications of products, monetization, expansion, and transactions.
Define accounting policies for crypto-native platform activity.

Requirements

Required Experience and Skills

An active CPA licence.
Eight to ten or more years of progressive accounting experience.
Experience with both high-growth private companies and public-company environments.
Deep United States GAAP knowledge and the ability to write clear technical-accounting memoranda.
Experience leading close in a high-transaction-volume environment.
A bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
Comfort with modern finance tools and strong Microsoft Excel modeling skills.

Preferred Qualifications

At least three years of Big Four public-accounting experience.
Crypto or digital-asset accounting experience.
SQL skills, international accounting, multi-entity consolidation, or mergers and acquisitions experience.
