Overview
You will support the day-to-day management and operation of Circle's Product Risk Management function. The function partners with Product Managers to identify, assess, prioritize, mitigate, and report product risks. The role also supports Circle's Enterprise Risk Management program by helping the company identify and prepare for internal and external risks that could affect its objectives.
What You'll Work On
- Collect and analyze data on user behavior, product usage, and customer feedback to track product performance, identify improvements, and present product and business insights.
- Work with executives and leaders across Product and Engineering to define cross-organizational processes that improve execution efficiency and collaboration.
- Drive product development, user research, and launch processes and select and roll out supporting product management and data analysis tools.
- Drive product-related policy management, issue management, change management, risk assessment, third-party risk management, and training.
- Build documentation, testing, and release management standards for the product team.
- Ensure Product and cross-functional teams follow standard launch processes, identify and mitigate risks, monitor risks after launch, and manage issues.
- Lead assessments, monitoring, and reporting on compliance, legal, security, finance, and third-party risks and oversee issue identification and remediation.
- Partner with Enterprise Risk Management on ongoing risk identification, ownership, mitigation, and acceptance.
- Lead periodic reviews and executive-level reporting and recommend updates to policies, processes, tools, and templates as the environment changes.
- Work with auditors and regulators on audits, identify new mitigations, and follow through across teams.
What You'll Bring
- Ten or more years of risk management experience for B2B and B2C products in financial services, payments, or technology.
- Executive presence and the ability to influence and work hands-on with cross-functional leaders, including lawyers, engineers, and product managers.
- Experience leading diverse teams in a complex, matrixed organization.
- Experience at the intersection of Product and Risk, with knowledge of market, credit, operational, and compliance risk.
- Ability to build and define Enterprise Risk Management frameworks and programs.
- Experience embedding a risk culture in a rapidly growing business, preferably in technology or financial services.
- Proficiency in data analysis using SQL.
- Clear and structured communication focused on business insights and data.
