Overview
The Road to Devcon 8 India University Program supports student groups, professors, and academic institutions in building meaningful engagement with Ethereum ahead of Devcon 8. The program empowers universities and academic communities to create spaces for learning, exploration, and collaboration — both on-campus and online — including campus workshops, research seminars, lecture series, student clubs, hackathons, reading groups, and academic collaborations.

What Support Includes
Supported initiatives must:
- Introduce students and researchers to Ethereum
- Encourage deeper exploration of Ethereum's technical, economic, and social dimensions
- Build long-term academic engagement and research capacity
- Create pathways for students to participate in the broader Ethereum ecosystem and Devcon
What you will get
- Up to $300 USD in financial support per event
- Devcon tickets (free or discounted) for faculty and top student applicants
- Amplification of your event through Devcon channels
- Non-financial support (connections, guidance, coordination)
Eligibility
Hard Requirements
- Based in India or targeting Indian academic audiences
- Affiliated with or led by a university, academic institution, student group, or faculty member
- Clear alignment with Ethereum ecosystem
- Publicly accessible event link or registration page
- Demonstrates potential to drive engagement with Devcon
- Initiative must create a positive impact for Devcon and the local Ethereum academic community
- Budget breakdown required if requesting funds
- Financial support requests may not exceed $500 USD; ticket requests may not exceed 5
- Eligible initiatives must take place between May 15 and October 15, 2026
- Commitment to promote Devcon across channels
- Commitment to share post-event outcomes/report
- Shows awareness of Ethereum's core values (CROPS) and how they may be reflected in the initiative
