Soneian Community Program
The Soneian Community Program is a volunteer framework for people who want to help build, support and create within the Soneium community. It accommodates community organizers, writers, artists, developers, gamers and other contributors, and is broader than an ambassador or promotional program.
Key Details
- The program operates primarily through Soneium’s Discord and Guild.
- Joining is ongoing, with no general closing deadline. Individual contests or opportunities may have their own time limits.
- There are no guaranteed payments. Campaigns, contests or collaborations may offer separate rewards.
Contribution Types
Community and Prime Roles
- Scouts welcome newcomers, direct them to useful channels, answer common questions, troubleshoot basic issues and support games, events and discussions.
- Guardians provide technical help through tickets, assist with moderation and lead approved community activities.
- Cores develop growth strategies, create content, assess the impact of initiatives, study other communities’ approaches and connect community members with core contributors.
Creator Roles
- Codex covers stories, articles, essays, community reporting, ecosystem journalism, how-to guides and other written work.
- Chroma covers performances, animation, illustration and design, as well as streams, interactive events, creative collaborations and tutorials.
- Cipher covers original tools or projects, debugging and technical support, collaboration on shared software, and guides or code examples that help other builders.
- Contributors may follow both the community and creator paths. Collaborative work is encouraged, particularly for creative and event-based activities.
Responsibilities
- Share useful, original contributions in the designated channels of the main Discord server and engage consistently with other members.
- Contributions and roles are tracked through Discord and Guild. Scouts, Guardians, Cores and the team review activity and discuss nominations.
- Scouts should be approachable and dependable; Guardians should bring technical knowledge and care with details; Cores should demonstrate strategic thinking, clear communication and measurable community impact.
- Roles may be withdrawn for breaches of community guidelines, prolonged inactivity or exploitation of the system.
Time Commitment
Progression Toward Prime Roles
- Begin by claiming the Prospect role through the Starter Roles Guild page.
- After roughly one month of consistent engagement, Scouts and core contributors vote on progression to Trainee. A further month of active contribution leads to review for Seeker.
- Seekers can be selected for Scout during monthly reviews. Scout discussions and votes occur approximately once or twice per month, and the page states no fixed limit on Scout numbers.
- Guardians are appointed from Scouts when the core team identifies a need. Cores may be appointed from active Scouts or Guardians according to community needs.
- Each Prime role has up to 12 ranks. Continued activity can earn a monthly rank, subject to a vote by current Cores.
Creator Recognition
- Creator roles are awarded monthly based on contributions, with up to three ranks per role.
- Primes initially decide higher ranks. The process is intended to move toward Creator-led review as enough active Creators join.
- Advancement is earned through contribution and review; time spent in the community does not automatically result in promotion.
Eligibility
- No single technical or creative specialty is required to join. Choose contributions suited to your abilities.
- Contributors may also participate in other ecosystems or chains.
- Some Guild verification actions may require a wallet, while most initial progression depends on Discord participation.
Benefits
- Recognition, community visibility and access to dedicated channels connecting contributors with the core team.
- Early project information, previews and opportunities to test dApps or new features.
- Training, mentorship and experience in support, community management, events and strategy.
- Connections with Soneium projects, other contributors and industry participants.
- Creator forums, showcases and contests. Outstanding contributors may be considered for deeper collaboration or future professional roles.
Application Process
- Start at the Soneium Guild and join the Gateway Discord.
- Reach Level 3 in the Gateway through interaction with posts and other users. This onboarding step filters bots and spammers before access to the main server.
- Track the onboarding roles through Guild, then enter the main server and select a contribution path.
- For the community path, claim the Prospect role from Soneian Starter Roles. Post contributions in the designated main-server channels for review and nomination.
