About the Role
The BackEnd Engineer will work with the CTO and engineering team on zero-knowledge infrastructure and Web3 products. The role combines protocol architecture, smart-contract engineering, backend development, and technical mentorship. It is a full-time remote position with working hours around GMT.
Responsibilities
- Design distributed protocols with security, performance, and scalability in mind.
- Write, deploy, test, and maintain smart contracts in production.
- Define practices for protocol upgrades and network versioning.
- Work with engineering, product, and design on user-facing applications.
- Mentor engineers on Solidity, the EVM, and smart-contract practices.
- Use current zero-knowledge tooling and contribute to advancement of the field.
Qualifications
- At least four years of professional software-development experience.
- At least two years of smart-contract development, including production protocol deployments and audits.
- Strong Solidity, EVM, Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript skills.
- Experience with APIs, cloud services, queues, message brokers, containers, and microservices.
- Experience with blockchain, zero-knowledge proofs, Solidity, and Web3.
- Strong testing, code-review, troubleshooting, and communication practices.
Compensation and Benefits
The posting states total compensation of USD 120K to USD 300K through salary and equity. Benefits include remote work, flexible hours, company holidays, and medical, dental, and vision coverage for United States employees.
