Metis Ecosystem Grants
Metis ecosystem grants support teams developing and deploying products that contribute to the network’s adoption. The grant framework offers different funding levels according to a project’s maturity and growth needs.
Funding or Award
Ecosystem Funding Allocation
- The Metis Ecosystem Development Fund announces a total allocation of 4.6 million METIS.
- Of that total, 1.6 million METIS is allocated to ecosystem funding over ten years. The remaining 3 million METIS supports sequencer mining and is separate from the ecosystem grant allocation.
Grant Levels
- Explorer: up to $20K in METIS for early-stage projects building traction and demonstrating capability.
- Voyager: up to $50K in METIS for projects with a minimum viable product already shown to work.
- Navigator: over $50K in METIS for established projects on other mainnets expanding to Metis.
- Pioneer: over $100K in METIS for projects with an outstanding track record that are ready for significant growth.
Focus Areas
- Builder Mining Rewards and product development.
- Deployment of protocols and new ecosystem projects.
- Liquidity for product launches and liquidity mining.
- Smaller audits supporting ecosystem development.
Application Process
- Select the grant level that matches the project’s existing product, evidence of traction, deployment history and growth plans.
- Review the Metis Grants Framework.
- Submit through the ecosystem grant application.
