Road To Devcon: Eleven Weeks of Ethereum Build Battles
In 2026 Ethereum turns eleven, and Loops House is marking it with eleven weeks of Build Battles, one for every year of Ethereum's life, every weekend as part of Road to Devcon. The series is powered by EFDevcon and finishes with eleven weeks of shipped, verifiable GitHub work right before Devcon 8.
Key Details
- Format: online
- Series window: August 22 - October 30, 2026 (as displayed on the Luma listing)
- Cadence: a new Build Battle every weekend, eleven in total
- Three problem statements drop each weekend
- Recognition: certificates and a place on the leaderboard
Format
- Build Battles run on Loops House in a solo-builder format: you use your own AI agents to build real, working dApps against a weekly problem statement, using the actual tech stack on Ethereum.
- Described as competitive coding, but instead of solving DSA questions you are shipping full applications.
- Submissions are evaluated automatically against test cases covering smart contract logic, RPC calls and front-end integration.
- Every submission gets a real evaluation report, and every week ends with a live, verifiable leaderboard.
Tracks or Themes
One weekly theme per battle:
- Reading Ethereum - go under the hood of RPCs and block explorers
- Art, Culture and Ethereum in India - bring Indian folk art, music and craft onchain with real provenance and royalties
- Smart Accounts and Gasless UX - build blockchain interactions so simple they need no explanation
- Onchain Identity - ZK-powered identity that proves without exposing
- Decentralized Data Storage - data that survives outages, censorship and single points of failure
- x402: Pay-Per-Call - native pay-per-request infrastructure for the open web
- AI and Web3 - give AI agents onchain identity and economic agency
- Onchain Gaming - web3 incentive design meets India's street-game instincts
- Prediction Markets - build transparent, trustless forecasting infrastructure
- Privacy on Ethereum - stealth, ZK proofs and deceptive-defense-inspired security
- Funding the Commons - build mechanism design for sustainably funding public goods
