At Ledger, we’re proud to be the global platform for digital assets and Web3, with over 20% of the world’s crypto assets secured through our Ledger devices. With our headquarters in Paris, and offices in Vierzon, Grenoble, Montpellier, London, Portland, Geneva, Zurich and Central Singapore, we have a team of around 600 professionals developing a variety of products and services to enable individuals and companies to securely buy, store, swap, grow and manage crypto assets – including the Ledger hardware wallets line with more than 7.5 millions units already sold in 200 countries.
The Total Rewards team is entering a high-intensity period: a year-end compensation review cycle, active benchmarking work, custom bonus plan reviews, and a rising volume of analytical deliverables supporting executive and board-level reporting. To protect bandwidth and quality, we are bringing in a mid-level contractor to work closely with and under the supervision of our Paris-based Compensation & Benefits Expert, reporting directly to the Head of Total Rewards. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role for someone with genuine C&B grounding who can work with light direction once context is set, and who understands what makes compensation data credible.
This contractor may provide support to the C&B Expert and Head of Total Rewards during bonus plan reviews, including:
4 years+ in Compensation & Benefits or Total Rewards. C&B-specific experience is required; broader HR analytics backgrounds without meaningful C&B exposure will not be considered.
Degree in a quantitative discipline preferred (e.g. Finance, Economics, Statistics, or equivalent).
Advanced Excel is non-negotiable: pivot tables, scenario modelling, audit-proof workbooks, and confident handling of large datasets.
Hands-on experience with Radford or Mercer Comptryx strongly preferred. Familiarity with the mechanics of job matching and market data interpretation is expected.
Experience using Workday for compensation cycle management is a strong plus.
Experience working with or supporting stakeholders outside France — whether across European markets or globally — is a plus.
Able to work from a defined brief with minimal hand-holding. Asks the right clarifying questions early; doesn’t need ongoing supervision once context is clear.
Fluent English required (working language of the team). French strongly preferred — most day-to-day collaborators are Paris-based.
Comfort with AI tools (e.g. Claude, Gemini) for document drafting and workflow efficiency is welcome.
This is not a strategy or design role — Ledger already has senior expertise in-house for that. What we need is someone who executes cleanly and independently at the analytical and operational level, and who brings enough C&B literacy to produce outputs that don’t need to be re-done. You will be working on real, high-stakes deliverables from day one.
