About the CeFi Team
The CeFi Team treats coding and trading as one and the same. Every trader writes code, and every engineer trades. Our trading is based on quantitative models we develop in-house, and on days of high market volatility we process millions of trades a day. Coding is not just a tool; it is the core of our trading approach, and high-performance infrastructure is part of our edge. The CeFi Team is both a trading firm and an engineering organization that designs and operates high-performance systems. Team members come from engineering and science backgrounds and design and implement systems themselves, centered on Rust and Python, with performance, stability, and latency all taken into account. Rather than relying on external solutions, we build what we need and boldly remove what we don't.
Most of the problems we work on have no known answer. We deal with areas where the problem definition itself is the research subject, not simple tuning or parameter adjustment. High-frequency strategies that compete at the millisecond level, options arbitrage targeting structural inefficiencies, and multi-strategy portfolio management spanning asset classes, time zones, and market structures are all within our scope.
Joining the CeFi Team does not mean being a simple operator. Each person leads the strategies they are responsible for and must be able to explain "why this strategy should exist" through logic, data, and live trading results. We do not separate judgment from responsibility.
Responsibilities
- Develop and operate high-frequency arbitrage models that run 24/365
- Refine strategy structure and execution logic with market microstructure, matching mechanisms, fee structures, and latency in mind
- Identify causes of strategy performance degradation through real-time and post-trade data analysis, and derive structural improvements
Requirements
- Experience generating real live-trading profits using an arbitrage bot you designed and implemented yourself (simple testing or operating someone else's system does not count)
- Proficiency in at least one of Rust or Python
- Enjoy continuously tracking the cryptocurrency market and its major events
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience operating a trading bot (with profits or losses of USD 100k or more)
- Experience reaching a top trading-volume tier on a CEX
- Experience implementing competitive-advantage strategies using exchange APIs (e.g., designing/operating automated cross-exchange arbitrage bots, triangular arbitrage)
