Kraken is hiring a Corporate Development Deal Lead in the United States to lead M&A and venture transactions from diligence through closing.
About the Role
Founded in 2011, Kraken is one of the world's longest-standing crypto platforms. The Corporate Development team executes M&A and venture transactions that support Kraken's strategic growth.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to Kraken's M&A and venture strategy and identify high-value opportunities.
- Drive M&A and venture investments and develop recommendations that move initiatives forward.
- Lead the end-to-end deal process from initial diligence to closing.
- Write concise deal memos that explain value drivers, risks, and strategic considerations.
- Oversee pro forma financial models and valuation analyses.
- Coordinate due diligence with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Build and maintain a network across crypto and financial services.
- Improve Corporate Development processes and mentor team members.
Requirements
- 8+ years of Corporate Development experience at a hyper-growth fintech company or investment bank.
- Experience building pro forma financial models and valuation analyses, including DCF, comparable multiples, and accretion or dilution analysis.
- Deep familiarity with M&A and venture processes, including legal matters and integration planning.
- Ability to coordinate Legal, Finance, Product, Engineering, and other stakeholders.
- Understanding of the global regulatory environment for crypto and financial services.
- Strong knowledge of, or demonstrated curiosity for, the cryptocurrency industry.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, writing, and storytelling skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Technical background or strong knowledge of software and internet products.
- Strong network in crypto or traditional financial services.

Base compensation: $134.2K – $298.9K
