Otherlife by MoonPay is hiring a New York-based Senior Designer to lead branding projects and deliver multidisciplinary work across identity, UI/UX, motion, 3D, and illustration.
About the Role
The Senior Designer leads branding projects for Otherlife and delivers multidisciplinary work across brand identity, web and UI/UX, motion design, 3D, and illustration for top-tier clients.
The designer works with Design Directors, the Creative Director, Senior Designers, Illustrators, and Motion Designers to maintain design quality and brand alignment across touchpoints.
Responsibilities
- Lead brand projects beginning with trend research, competitor analysis, and identification of whitespace opportunities.
- Define and develop brands, digital experiences, and concepts with design leads, brand strategists, and clients.
- Establish design systems and style guidelines covering typography, color, patterns, UI, iconography, illustration, motion, 3D, photography, and video.
- Create and deliver presentations and written rationales for internal critiques and client reviews.
- Design wireframes, screens, and prototypes that communicate interaction, 3D, and motion behavior.
Requirements
- At least five years of design experience, including at least three years in a Senior Designer role or higher within an agency.
- Strong conceptual thinking across typography, motion, copy, and imagery.
- Experience creating layouts and designs that scale across web, mobile, presentations, and other platforms.
- A user-centered approach that considers accessibility, technology platforms, and contextual storytelling.
- Experience designing interactive websites using tools or technologies such as three.js, WebGL, React Three Fiber, Unity, Unreal Engine, or GSAP.
- Strong leadership, teamwork, client-presentation, and idea-communication skills.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Sketch, or Cinema 4D.
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent in Graphic Design, Digital Media, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing and animating 2D or 3D objects, characters, props, and environments.
- Experience with crypto, NFTs, blockchain technology, or Web3.
- Experience with project management.
Compensation
Base compensation: $125K – $175K
