What You'll Do at Nansen

You'll own product analytics at a company where data is the product. That means building the instrumentation, models, and insights that tell us what our users actually do, and making that knowledge accessible to everyone who ships.

• Scale our in-house product analytics platform so Product, Engineering, Design, Marketing, and Sales can self-serve without waiting on you for every question
• Analyze user behavior and product metrics across analytics, trading, and staking products — then turn those findings into decisions, not slide decks
• Manage and maintain our customer data platform with accurate tracking and clean taxonomy. If the data's messy, every insight built on it is fiction
• Combine quantitative analysis with qualitative insights from user studies. Numbers tell you what happened; talking to users tells you why
• Convert business requirements into technical specifications that engineers can actually build against
• Build and maintain data models in dbt that the rest of the team trusts and uses daily

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years in data analysis with a product, growth, or marketing focus — you've built dashboards people actually look at and analyses that changed roadmaps
• Strong SQL and Python. You write clean queries and you know when to script something instead of doing it by hand
• You've analyzed trading products and you understand crypto user behavior — or you're deeply curious about it and learn fast
• You don't just use AI as a tool. You think with it. You can show us how AI has made you 10x more productive in your actual workflows with tools like Claude Code, Codex or Cursor
• Familiar with OKR frameworks — you've used them to align product analytics work with company goals, not just as a reporting exercise
• You care about craft, not just output. A clean data model matters. Good naming matters. Documentation that someone else can actually read matters
• Bonus: hands-on dbt experience and deep understanding of DeFi protocols and onchain data
