About the Role

Geode Labs is a digital product studio focused on Ethereum ecosystem development. We build products and programs that support global Ethereum communities, talent, and general ecosystem coordination.

We’re seeking a Business Development & Partnerships Lead to help close deals and identify, develop, and manage strategic business opportunities. This a sales role that focuses on building long-term, high-trust partnerships with projects, communities, and organizations that align with our business, product and EcoDev goals.

You’ll work closely with product, ecosystem, and operations teams to execute a business development and partnerships strategy.

What You Will Do

  1. Identify potential customers and partners across the Ethereum ecosystem (projects, communities, organizations) and across crypto-adjacent industries (finance, tech, etc)
  2. Initiate and manage partnership conversations, from early exploration and drafting proposals to coordinating alignment and follow-up
  3. Execute BD and partnership structuring, coordination, and follow-up, that said, to negotiate, structure, and close deals
  4. Work with internal teams to define business development scope, goals, and success criteria
  5. Support collaboration on product distribution, ecosystem programs, and joint initiatives, e.g. ETHStars integrations, community partnerships, co-promotions
  6. Coordinate with product, EcoDev, marketing, and operations teams to ensure customer relationships and partnerships are executed smoothly
  7. Maintain clear internal documentation of ecosystem research, external discussions, decisions, and next steps
  8. Support ad-hoc ecosystem and partnership-related research as needed

What We’re Looking For

  1. Strong communication and relationship-building skills in English
  2. Proven ability to sell
  3. Proven ability to manage a BD lifecycle end-to-end, from initiating conversation to converting them into closed opportunities
  4. Ability to understand product context, ecosystem incentives, and alignment trade-offs
  5. Organized and able to manage multiple external relationships
  6. Able to take ownership of partnerships end-to-end and move work forward independently in an async, remote environment
  7. Familiarity with open-source and ecosystem-driven projects, particularly within Ethereum

Nice to Have

  1. Prior experience in BD, partnerships, ecosystem development, or community-facing roles
  2. Existing relationships within Ethereum communities or projects
  3. Familiarity with Ethereum, Web3 startups, or open-source ecosystems
